Move Me Brightly at TRI Studios

On the evening of August 3rd, Mike Gordon will participate in ‘Move Me Brightly: Celebrating Jerry Garcia’s 70th Birthday’ at Bob Weir’s TRI Studios.

In addition to live performances by a one-time only group of musical performers, led by Garcia’s longtime bandmate and co-conspirator, Bob Weir, and featuring a diverse cast of characters including Mike, Benmont Tench, Cass McCombs, Neal Casal, Joe Russo, and Harper Simon, the event will include exclusive interviews with Garcia’s peers, including Carlos Santana. David Crosby’s moving tribute, “‘Cause I’m Missing Jerry Tonight,” penned specifically for the occasion, will be read during the show. Luke Wilson (The Royal Tenenbaums, Old School, Anchorman) will take a moment away from his day job to emcee the event.

The entire event will be broadcast via high definition webcast for free. More details and artists will be announced soon.
